Hey friends and conspirators, I’m finishing week three of Mounjaro, or as I like to say, ‘being on the needle’. still progressing. I’m at 351, down 26 pounds since I started. Also taking phentermine for appetite, and trying to move around more, (I shant say exercise yet) and eat better, with mixed results. I suggest watching the latest South Park called “South Park: The end of Obesity,” even if South Park isn’t your usual cup o’ tea. Excellent commentary and some teachable moments about semi-glutide drugs like Mounjaro and Ozempic. It says alot about navigating the Doctor – Insurance – pharmacy bermuda triangle; drug shortages caused at least in part by the “you can never be too thin” suburban vanity culture, and the breakfast cereal industry, I kid you not. They explain what a compounding pharmacy does when the boys build one out of lego, and the homage/send-up of the Mad Max road battle when the boys take on the cereal mascots is not to be missed. The movie kicks off with Cartman not wanting to be called a fat ass any more, and at one point, they use the phrase ‘injectible willpower’. Two things which led to hours, if not days of self reflection.
