Adds, Changes

If you’re going to start something, then you need to start something.

My first post

2025-05-27, Albuquerque, NM USA

Friends and Conspirators, you may have noticed an uptick in my literary output on FB lately.

Those posts, the rants, the reflections, the deep dives into tools and tangents, have been test balloons for my new blog, Marks Other Things.

The blog is still under construction, and knowing me, always will be, to one degree or another.

Marks Other Things will be the spot where all this stuff finally lands:

🩺 The weight loss struggles and victories.

🎥 The way too long movie and tv show dissections.

🎵 The new songs that told today’s story, or the old songs that tell tomorrow’s.

🛜 The tricks, tools and problem solvers that make swinging through the 21st century jungle a bit more survivable.

There might even be the occasional deep thought, but I guarantee that it will all be wrapped in my trademark silver tongued devil style. Rest easy, I’m bringing G.I. Joe with me.

If you’ve ever grinned, outright ROFL’d, or even said “what tha…” to any of my ‘Friends and Conspirators’ Facebook posts, then it might be worth checking in occasionally.

There’s a subscription form at the bottom. Fill it and click it to get alerts when the blog goes live. I promise, No spam. No nonsense, (OK, maybe just a little nonsense). Just the occasional ping from El Gringo del Diablo en la Lengua.

Mood: cautiously optimistic

Comments: Open (unless you get weird)

Why Patterns Feel Convincing

Your brain evolved to spot trends because patterns once kept you alive. Lotteries do not care about your instincts, logic, or birthday strategies.

What this is:
A way to explore how humans look for patterns in randomness.

What this is not:
A system for beating the lottery.

Why Quantum Randomness Matters

Quantum randomness cannot be predicted or replayed. If you rewound the universe and ran the experiment again, the result would be different.

What Is Entropy?

Entropy is unpredictability. In this context, it means the numbers cannot be guessed in advance, even by the system generating them.
